Mother of The Bride

The simplicity and originality of the occasionwear range have made it exrememly popular with the Mother of the Bride or Groom who is seeking a stylish, contemporary look for this important occasion.

Many of our clients are reccommended by word of mouth, and many by the brides themselves, who are aware of their mother's fruitless search for a non-traditional Mother of the Bride outfit.Many travel from far and wide for their fittings, in order to ensure they have a perfectly fitted, unique outfit for their daughter's Big Day!

Normally 3 visits to our shop in Battersea are required,the first being for a private consultation, during which Elaine will discuss any specific requirements of the Mother of the Bride. Suggestions are then made as to which styles , fabrics and colours would flatter the client's individual style and silhouette, often based on sample garments which are available to try on , or perhaps creating a completely new idea together with the client.

An appointment is then made for the first fitting, which is in the form of a calico toile, in order to ensure a perfect fit. The second fitting will be in the actual fabric, and the outfit is usually ready for collection on the third visit.

To complete the outfit, we offer a range of Mother of the Bride accessories, including a range of silk shoes and bags which can be dyed to match any colour swatch, and a range of matching chiffon wraps for the evening event.

We stock a range of hats and hair accessories, and work in collaboration with local milliners who will create a bespoke hat or headpiece to perfectly compliment your outfit.
